Pittsburgh- The Pittsburgh Penguins ended a long 10 game losing streak, when Jake Guentzel and Jared McCann scored in a shootout, against the Chicago Blackhawks by rallying a 3-2 victory for Pittsburgh Penguins, on Saturday night.

It was the first time since 30th March, 2014, when Pittsburgh Penguins beat the Chicago Blackhawks. They were lagging behind by two goals when they scrambled back. Guentzel scored his eighth goal of the season, late in the second period of the game and gave life to Pittsburgh Penguins. Rust scored his fifth goal since his return from injured reserve tied the game midway through the third period of the game.

BOX SCORE: PENGUINS 3, BLACKHAWKS 2

Matt Murray did an exclusive job by doing 29 saves for the Penguins. He turned away Jonathan Toews and Alex DeBrincat in the shootout. The Captain Sidney Crosby was not available for Pittsburgh Penguins, for most of the time during the third period of the game, as he left with an injury that remained undisclosed till the end.

Patrick Kane scored the sixth goal of the season for Chicago Blackhawks. He scored in the shootout. Dominik Kubalik also added his fourth goal for Chicago Blackhawks. Corey Crawford could also make 29 saves but was unable to stop Guentzel or McCann from scoring in the shootout.

They overcame a third period deficit of three goals to win in overtime, just two days after putting together a wonderful come back against the New York Islanders. The Penguins also did the same feat.

A chance was squandered by Chicago Blackhawks to take the lead early in the second period. They failed to convert on an extended 5 on 3 power play. Kane foiled an excellent opportunity to score for the right circle, as his hit sailed over the goal.
